Henry Clancy
Henry Clancy's only been riding sportbikes on the street for two years, but he'd done it the right way - the way that leads to trophies on the track. Clancy, a customer at West Coast GP Cycles, started with a Triumph 675 for the street, then bought a Yamaha YZF-R6 exclusively for the track. He took the California Superbike School, then did the New Racer School for WSMC with Track Daz. Clancy went to Willow Springs this month, and in his first two races, finished third in Novice Heavyweight - and second in Novice Middleweight.

June 2009

West Coast GP Cycles riders brought home the big trophies this month at Willow Springs Motorcycle Club. Nathan Loyal took his first-ever win, taking his shop-prepared, Pirelli-shod SV650 to a last-lap victory in the Saturday Solo GT-Light endurance race. Andrew Artola took his Honda RS125 to the win in 125cc Grand Prix competition, and Michael Gougis took his Bridgestone-shod SV500 to the win in the Battle Of The Twins Lightweight race. Lisa Fisher took her Ninja 250 to a 3rd place (trophy, baby!) in the same race. Stephen Ludwig backed up his 4th place finish in Saturday's Solo race with a 4th in Formula Twins Lightweight, 5th in 550 Superbike, and 6th in Battle Of The Twins Middleweight. In Masters of The Mountains competition at Miller Motorsports Park, Iron man Brant Wiwi took his shop-prepared Kawasaki ZX-6R and ZX-10R to seconds in Middleweight Superbike, Middleweight Superstock, Heavyweight Superstock, Open Superstock and the King Of The Mountain shootout.
