Featured Riders: Charlie Coyner

Charlie Coyner aka “Biggy,” is still out there throwing down with the young punks like his kid Dustin (yeah, the guy who runs TrackDaz!) Coyner raced with the Motorcycle Roadracing Association in Colorado last season on his West Coast GP Cycles-prepped SV650, finishing up 6th in Supertwins GTU and Lightweight GP. And because biggy is sponsored by Michelin, he was invited to race in the Michelin US Motorcycle Roadracing Championships at Barber Motorsports Park, achieving an overall 10th place for the Thunderbike class. biggy joined the West Coast GP Cycles crew at the Streets of Willow in February, with a best finish of 4th in 650 Twins GP.

WSMC-Race-Results

February 2010

West Coast GP Cycle racers joined the madness at the Streets of Willow in February, and brought home the trophies once again. Aboard the shop-prepared fleet of CT Racing Pirelli-shod Suzuki SV650s, Andy “Crazy Hair” Palmer took a second in 550 Superbike and won the Formula Twins Lightweight race; Stephen “Baron Von” Ludwig snared a third in 650 Twins GP competition; having moved out of beginner status to Novice, David “Nickname TBD” Jaffe ran his first two-race weekend and took home wood in both – 2nd in Novice 550 Superbike and 3rd in Novice Formula Twins Lightweight. And Michael “Dongle” Gougis took his shop-developed, Dunlop-shod Suzuki SV500 to his 12th straight win in Battle Of The Twins Lightweight (and, on a borrowed single, took third in one of the hastily-created Singles classes!)
