Five races, five first places. That's the record for West Coast GP Cycles riders from a cool, blustery weekend at Willow Springs. Leading the charge was Evan "Elbow Slider" Markus, with wins in the grueling Solo GT-Lights endurance race on Saturday afternoon and in 650 Twins GP, 550 Superbike and Formula Twins Lightweight on Sunday on his shop-developed, Pirelli-shod SV650. Al "The Mayor" Garcia stepped up to win the Formula 40 Lightweight sprint on Sunday and a third in 650 Twins GP. In that 20-lap Solo race, West Coast GP Cycles locked out the podium with Charles Fathy and Stephen Ludwig finishing second and third, and Tony Moniz backing them up in fourth.

WSMC Results - March

Lampard, Palmer, Quinn, and Garcia get wet togetherIn the nastiest race conditions seen at Willow Springs in years, West Coast GP Cycles dominated the lightweight Twins classes and brought home a pile of hardware. Heading the pack was shop co-owner Andy Palmer took his shop-developed, CT Racing/Pirelli-shod Suzuki SV650 to the win in 550 Superbike, 650 Twins GP and Formula Twins Lightweight. Al “The Mayor” Garcia finished second in each race on his shop-developed, Pirelli-shod SV650, extending his points lead in Formula Twins Lightweight and 650 Twins GP. And Simon Lampard took his SV650 to fourth in Formula Twins Lightweight and 650 Twins GP, and a sixth in 550 Superbike. The nasty weather couldn’t dampen the team’s joy over Garcia moving into the Top Three in overall points with WSMC.
